Public Water vs Public Ditch Buffer Requirements

Public Water Buffer Requirements:

Riparian protection requirements for public waters, the more restrictive of:
1. A 50' average / 30' minimum width, continuous buffer of perennially vegetation;
2. The state shoreland standards;
3. An alternative water quality practice with comparable benefits of a buffer following Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) standards;

1. A 16.5' minimum width of continuous buffer of perennially vegetation;
2. Or an alternative water quality practice with comparable benefits of a buffer following Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) standards.

Deadline of Implementation: November 1, 2018
