These programs are designed to serve residents of Watonwan County who receive public assistance:
The Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP)
This is for families receiving cash and food assistance. MFIP requires that most people receiving assistance find employment. The program assists recipients in becoming self-sufficient by providing case management services and job seeking skills. MFIP can provide daycare and transportation assistance for recipients who are doing job search and / or have found employment.
The Diversionary Work Program (DWP)
This is a 4-month program that provides case management services and supports to eligible families to help them move immediately to work.
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
